Primary Schools 4-A-Side Teams Championships 2006

The preliminary rounds of the Primary Schools 4-A-Side Table Tennis Teams Championships were held at various venues on Friday 11 August 2006, with the Grand Final being played on Friday 25 August 2006 at the Woodville District Table Tennis Club.

Seven boys teams and five girls teams qualified for the finals. The boys teams from St. John's Lutheran School and Immanuel College were both unbeaten going into their last match against each other. In a close and exciting match, Dan Foo, Giorgio Pantelis, Dan Ryles, and Henry Trenorden from St John's Lutheran School emerged as the winners.

The girls section was won by Tanunda Primary School - Team 1, consisting of Joanne Long, Lauren Martin, Claudio Neubauer, and Flynn McNally. Their other girls' team was runner-up in the competition.

Primary Schools Mixed Teams Championships 2006

The finals of the Primary Schools Mixed Teams Table Tennis Championships were held at Newton Sports Complex on 26 May 2006. Seven teams from different regional areas qualified for the finals. It was a very close contest. Heathfield Primary School team was initially announced as the winner of the competition on a count-back of match points.

An appeal was received and it was discovered that there have been a mix-up of the scores in the match between the top two teams. Eventually, joint-winners were declared, and that Temple Christian College team also be awarded winners of the Primary Schools Mixed Team Championships for 2006!
